“The Great Commandment”
Prelude
Call to Worship:
LEADER: We come to the house of the Lord, filled with fear and worry.
PEOPLE: Wash away our fears, O Lord.
LEADER: We come, having been on this Lenten journey tired and care-worn.
PEOPLE: Wash away our exhaustion, O Lord.
LEADER: We come, seeking hope and peace in our lives.
PEOPLE: Wash away our sins, O Lord, and give us peace . AMEN.
Opening Prayer:
Lord, we enter worship this evening having experienced the joy of Palm Sunday in which Jesus led the parade into Jerusalem . But this night is different. On this night Jesus demonstrates the meaning of discipleship. Keep our hearts and our spirits open, O Lord, so that we may learn to be true disciples. For we ask this in Jesus' Name. AMEN .
