Members attend Lessie Bates Annual Dinner
On Saturday, November 12, five women from Lebanon First UMC attending the 4th Annual Dinner of Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House. LBDNH is a United Methodist Community Center, and has been supported by Lebanon First for a number of years. Several members are former and current board and committee members. The church also contributed a gift basket and gift certificate to the silent auction.
Shirley Malone, Sevilla Purkey, Susan Meister, Mary Renfro, and Casey Andrew traveled to the dinner at the Gateway Center in Collinsville. Speakers included Rev. Robert K. Freeman, pastor of Trinity UMC in East St. Louis, which received special recognition award. Greetings were voiced by William R. Kreeb, LBDNH Executive Director.
