Christmas Progress Dinner largest ever
On Sunday evening, December 4, Lynn Rose ended a very busy week with a "gift" on the last stop of the 2011 Christmas Progressive Dinner. The 2011 event was the largest ever. Fifty-four persons traveled to two homes and the church to enjoy food, fellowship and fun. Rose was instrumental in organizing the event.
The appetizer course was hosted in the lovely home of Joe and Ann Zimmerlee. Next, the group traveled to the parsonage, home to Rev. Peter Wehrly and Susan Meister, where Lynn and her elves had successfully arranged to seat everyone and serve a delicious meal from the kitchen. Everyone then traveled to the church Fellowship Hall, where host and hostess Dean and Cheryl Brewer "supervised" the distribution of gifts, some lovely and some not-so-lovely.
The evening ended on a high note, with those attending in agreement that the evening was a great time to talk and laugh. "Lebanon First UMC is filled with wonderful people," exclaimed Pastor Wehrly. "What a great opportunity this was to get to know each other and celebrate our relationship with each other in Jesus."

The parsonage was set for 54, Pastor Wehrly led prayer at the Zimmerlees and Mary ended up with the purse after all!
Edwin selected from the gifts first, Peter is still trying to make that lump of coal into a diamond, and Sy has food for hunting!

Sometimes gifts are fun, sometimes they're homemade, and sometimes the best thing you can say is "Wait 'til next year!"
